Day 1:
Port Elizabeth – Zuurberg Mountain Inn |
|
On
arrival at Port Elizabeth Airport you will be met by
your guide. We leave for the Addo National Park
which is home to the “Big 7” – elephant, rhino,
lion, leopard, buffalo, southern right whale and the
great white shark. A full afternoon game drive
before book in at Zuurberg Mountain Inn on a dinner,
bed and breakfast basis. |

Day 2:
Zuurberg Mountain Inn – Tsitsikamma National Park |
|
Breakfast first
and after an early morning game drive we leave the
Park and head to Tsitsikamma National Park. Where
the booming breakers of the Indian Ocean
relentlessly pound rocky shores, where temperate
high forest and fynbos roll down to the sea in an
unspoilt verdant carpet, where ancient rivers carve
their paths to the ocean down rocky ravines. This,
"the place of much water", is the Tsitsikamma
National Park. The heartland of the park stretches
some 5 km to sea, protecting a wonderland of
inter-tidal life, reef and deep-sea fish. Dolphins
frolic in the breakers, surfing and playing for the
sheer joy of life, and the gentle giant of the
ocean, the southern right whale visits here, coming
inshore to breed.A warm welcome, friendly service
and personal attention awaits you at the privately
owned and managed Tsitsikamma Lodge. Winner of the
prestigious AA Award for Best Leisure Hotel in South
Africa. We book into Cosy Log Cabins in a beautiful
garden setting with spectacular mountain and forest
views. We stay on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. |

Day 3:
Tsitsikamma – Knysna |
|
Breakfast first before we head to Knysna in the
heart of the Garden Route, surrounded by forests,
lakes, mountains and sea. This ever popular tourist
destination is a charming townof legend, history,
arts and crafts catering to every visitor’s need or
fancy. We overnight at Belvidere Manor overlooking
Knysna’s Lagoon. Dinner will be an a la carte menu
in the dining area. |

Day 4:
Knysna |
|
After
breakfast we head to Featherbed Nature Reserve
situated on the western head of Knysna. A trip to
the island on a ferry, a tour of the island and an
optional lunch takes a little over a pleasurable
four hours. Enjoy an amazing view of the imposing
sandstone Heads that guard the sea entrance to
Knysna's huge tidal lagoon, and the forests, marshes
and pristine beaches beyond. The remainder of the
day is spend at leisure to do some souvenir shopping
and enjoy some time at the waterfront. Return to
Belvidere Manor for dinner. |

Day 5:
Knysna – Oudsthoorn |
After breakfast we leave Knysna behind and head to
the ‘Ostrich Capital’ of the world- Oudtshoorn.
First we visit an ostrich farm- Highgate, during
your visit experience the world's largest bird which
lays the largest egg, has the most beautiful
feathers and eyes that make you want to fall in love
and hug them. At Highgate you can enjoy riding the
birds at your own risk, stand on their eggs, touch
the birds and cuddle the chicks all in approximately
1 1/2 hours.
Professional multilingual guides take you on a
conducted tour where you will learn about the birds,
experience laughter & beauty situated in a valley
surrounded by thousands of ostriches and majestic
mountains. Secondly we visit the Cango Caves, a
subterranean wonderland in the foothills of the
Swartberg Mountain Range. Cango Caves is the only
show cave in Africa which offers a choice of
Standard (easy) or Adventure Tours. All tours are
lead by experienced, knowledgeable and accredited
Caves Guides. We book in at the Swarberg Manor,
nestled on the farm "Voorbedacht" situated in the
Cango Valley at the foot of the world-renowned
Swartberg Pass. The picturesque panoramic view of
the Swartberg Mountains will bring comfort to anyone
that wants to "get away from it all" and simply soak
up the peace of its tranquil surroundings. We stay
on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.

Day 6:
Oudtshoorn – Cape Town |
| Breakfast first and then we head to Cape Town.
Enjoy the ever-changing passing canvas as you travel
to Cape Town. Stop at the town of Swellendam and
visit the Drosdy buildings built in 1747. Arrive in
Cape Town in the afternoon. You have the option to
add on the
Fairest Cape Xplorer tour or
you will dropped at the Airport or your Hotel. |
